Buns In The Sun Kona

January 13, 2009 by ec808

Aloha and Happy New Year to all from everyone here at Buns In The Sun.

Now I know we’ve been here since 1988 and many people including my own friends tell me ALL the time, “I didn’t know you guys offer breakfast plates with rice.”

And although plates with rice is a great thing to offer, that still should not detract from the utmost importance of our core…our bakery items including bread.

That brings me to the meat of this post…

Bread.

Countless numbers of people sadly overlook and underestimate the power that bread has in your household.  It is probably one of the most diverse things to eat. I don’t like to re hash things that I might have already stated in previous posts but in my next post, I will go over some of the things that you can do with FRESH BAKED BREAD that you might’ve never thought of before…

Until then,

Elias

Happy ThanksGiving!!

November 28, 2008 by ec808

Along with being grateful that we have a little bit of time to spend with our families and eat some serious grindz, we are also thankful to our supportive customers that come in time after time and support our humble, little, family business.

At this time we’d like to thank all of our customers who have ever supported this very powerful movement and powerful cause.  What movement? What “cause” you might ask?

The cause of eating mean kine food and pastries that are just flat out good!! Made right here on local soil!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Wow! Feels Good.

August 8, 2008 by ec808

I thought we had our little server problem fixed-but I wasn’t so lucky. We’ve finally got it up and running and Buns In The Sun is back in action.

Lotta changes since the last time I threw a post up.

The economy in Hawaii–in Kona for that matter– has sloweddown due to the different challenges that any small, vulnerable,  tourist dependent island would face.

However, we’ve taken advantage of the little bit of down time that we get every once and a while and honed in on some things that will make us an even bigger, badder ono kine grindz machine!!

For instance, we experimented with a few new things with our catering (yes, we do cater).

Tried a few new things on the baking end (some serious pastry stuff)

Will be reaching new markets with a new angle in my marketing campaign.

Wow, Yes. I’ve been keeping busy.  We experienced some turnover in staff for a few weeks but now we got a solid crew again and they just keep trucking along.

Stop in and say wassup!

Until then…

June 23, 2008 by ec808

Sorry for the delay of the update of our blog/website.

I ran into some complications along the way….we’re back though.

bunsinthesunkona.com is going through some funky issues with our domain forwarding server/host. So i’m trying something different.

Oh, by the way, Listen for our new radio commercial spot on KAPA, KBIG, and Da Beat.
